Responsibilities
- Design & Technology: Support the Design & Technology teacher(s) in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Practical sessions: Set up tools, equipment, and materials, ensure workspaces are safe, tidy, and ready for use, and assist students during practical sessions.
- Stock and resources: Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and track inventory; support the design, manufacture, and maintenance of displays, teaching aids, and learning resources.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met and maintain safe working practices.
- Professional development: Stay updated on new tools, materials, and best practices in Design & Technology education.
- General Maintenance Support: Provide
- on maintenance and repair support across the school, collaborate with Facilities, set up furniture/equipment for events, and identify/report safety issues promptly. - Facilities and events: Assist in setting up resources for school events and logistical needs.
Ideal Candidate
- Relevant technical qualifications or experience in Design & Technology or a related field (e. g. , engineering, carpentry, electronics, product design).
- Strong organisational and practical skills; good understanding of tools, machines, and materials used in a school D&T setting.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and a proactive approach to safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Enthusiastic,
- on, and keen to support a creative learning environment. - Availability for a
- time position with a combination of D&T and facilities support responsibilities.
