Maintenance Technician
Overview
The property is a lifestyle resort undergoing a revamping plan to be assume a prestigious 5-star international brand. The resort is first line of sea, offering breathtaking views over the atlantic ocean, and will feature a lobby bar and two lifestyle restaurants with spacious terraces with panoramic views. The health club will feature a gym and a spa with sauna, hamman, a double massage room and an exterior panoramic cabana for wellness treatments and activities.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities, under the supervision of the Hotel Manager. Main responsibilities include:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities;
- Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical issues as needed;
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and other departments;
- Monitor and manage maintenance inventory and tools, ensuring proper stock levels;
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance projects;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies in all maintenance operations;
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance;
- Support sustainability initiatives by implementing
- saving and water conservation measures; - Assist in emergency response situations, such as power failures, leaks, and other urgent issues;
Qualifications
- Minimum experience of 3 years in maintenance roles within the hospitality or similar industry;
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance;
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently;
- Strong sense of responsibility and initiative;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Communicative, adaptable, and
- service oriented; - Flexible with task assignments and working hours, including weekends and
- call shifts; - Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to building maintenance;
- Fluent in Portuguese, with basic knowledge of English preferred.
