The Role:
As the Management Accountant at Gruvi Ltd, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis that support
- making across the business. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you will manage the preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, identifying trends, and supporting the strategic financial goals of the company. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure effective financial planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Management Reporting
:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts to provide key
financial insights to senior management. Analyze variances and trends, providing
explanations and recommendations for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting
:
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and regular financial forecasts.
Collaborate with department heads to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring
that budgets are accurate and aligned with company objectives.
Financial Analysis
:
Conduct financial analysis on key areas of the business to support strategic
decision-making. Provide insights into business performance, profitability, and
potential areas for cost savings or growth.
Variance Analysis
:
Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, preparing variance
reports to explain any discrepancies. Work with departments to understand
variances and recommend corrective actions where needed.
Travel/Expense Management
:
Collaborate with the Bookkeeper and Financial Controller on the management of
travel and expense data. Ensure all expenses are accurately recorded and
analyzed to provide insights on cost control and compliance with company policies.
Cash Flow Monitoring
:
Assist the Financial Controller in monitoring the company's cash flow, identifying
potential risks, and providing reports to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
Financial Systems & Processes
:
Work with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring
data accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
Audit & Compliance Support
:
Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by ensuring the accuracy of
financial data and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with financial
regulations and internal policies.
Overseeing and delegating tasks to our bookkeeper
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Qualification
in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e. g. , ACCA, CIMA).
Proven experience
in a management accounting role, preferably within a
multinational organization.
Strong understanding
of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
principles.
Advanced proficiency
in financial modeling, reporting tools, and Excel/Google
sheets.
Analytical skills
with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic
recommendations.
Proficiency
in accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent communication skills
to collaborate effectively with various
departments and senior management.
Attention to detail
and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a
