AIN DUTIES
The Manager supports the head of the regional office in various aspects such as the

- day administrative, technical, financial management of the offices and projects, including compliance and internal procedures.
The Manager is responsible for the definition and execution of the activities in the region and the contribution of this office to UITP global activities.
She/he contributes to the retention of current members and the further development of the membership as well as the knowledge and the financial base of UITP via various means.
He/she provides services to members in the region, in particular he/she organizes events and trainings and supports research activities in the public transport field.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports head of the region by defining, developing and implementing the business plan for the region and targets.
- Provides administrative support to the head of region for the

- day smooth functioning of UITP North America RO. - Manages the work, involvement and expectations of the UITP North America Committee and Platform (studies, reports, position papers, articles).
- Analyzes the public transport market in the region and identifies leads for membership and business development.
- Organizes and executes various activities such as training, conferences, research projects, seminars, workshops, study tours and technical visits including operations and logistics.
- Assists in developing institutional relations with partner organizations and international donors in the region to explore funding opportunities for research and other activities that would bring value to members.
- Manages the production of regular communications including electronic newsletters, bulletins, letters, brochures and use of social media.
- Manages all vendors required for delivery of training, research, events,

- day functioning. - Represents UITP at North America related events – in the USA or Canada or outside when needed - as participant or speaker. Represents UITP in the region and is responsible for all relevant contacts.
- Based on the business plan, develops and implements an annual work plan in alignment with the Integrated Global Work Plan in close cooperation with other departments and Committee if required.
- Engages with members with a clear plan and agenda and negotiates with potential members and contacts, in the region. Invoicing and collection of membership fees.
- Promotes the participation of North America members in UITP events, working bodies, and projects. Regularly updates UITP database and efficient use of digital tools like CRM – Efficy, One
Note, Monday.com and others. - Is responsible for the

- day administrative and financial management of the offices, including compliance and internal procedures. - Is responsible for the budget of the office, including the reporting to N+1, and manages it according to UITP policy and guidelines.
- Fulfills his/her responsibilities and interacts with UITP staff according to the UITP corporate values.
REQUIRED PROFILE / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public transportation.
- Experience in research and project management.
- Fluency in English, knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency of the technical content.
- Project management skills.
- Writing proficiency/abilities.
- Communication techniques.
- Relationship management.
