Our Opportunity

Snyk, a leader in developer security, has recently acquired Probely, a modern Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) provider based in Lisbon, with coverage of API security testing and web applications.

We’re seeking an experienced and collaborative Engineering Manager to lead our Backend Development team.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

1. You’ll be accountable for
   - developing the team roadmap and supporting technical direction.
2. Ensuring new team members are onboarded, effectively contributing to the expected level and supporting existing team members to do their best work.
3. Coaching direct reports through productive feedback, building on strengths and addressing areas of development.
4. Helping the team learn, adapt and improve upon agile and lean methodologies. You’ll help the team understand and maintain a balance between delivery speed and product quality.
5. You’ll be responsible for the team’s
   - call process and rota, and be a point of escalation for incidents.
6. You’ll be a key part of applying our Product Led Growth practices to identify, measure and constantly improve our platform through experimentation.
7. Partaking in
   - on coding as needed, including code reviews.

What You’ll Need:

1. Strong leadership and team management skills.

4. Demonstrate
   - solving abilities in complex technical environments.
5. A track record of delivering
   - quality, scalable software solutions.
6. A Software Engineering background, with Java, Type
   Script or Python programming skills.
