Sens Electronica organization based in Porto, Portugal. The manager will lead all financial planning, forecasting processes, and analysis activities of the business, providing accurate and timely financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial information. The manager will also provide financial leadership support on

- day activities and
- hoc requests to the General Manager and other organization members.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Establish financial accounting close process for the new affiliate operations, ensuring accounting controls for P&L and BS, working closely with the local CFS team, aligning with Abbott policies and timelines.
2. Establish efficient FP&A processes that lead to timely forecast development and analysis to support the annual plan and LRBe’s.
3. Coordinate and consolidate demand forecast and analytics by collaborating with commercial and supply chain organizations.
4. Manage
   - end close process and reporting of monthly financial results.
5. Develop and maintain financial models and analyses, including resource needs.
6. Provide strategic financial support, including financial modeling and analysis for key business initiatives and strategic projects.
7. Assist with preparing financial presentations and KPIs for senior leadership.
8. Provide financial guidance to the organization, including for capital projects.
9. Ensure compliance with Abbott financial policies and local regulations.

    SENSE with overall Abbott systems and reporting.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• 5-10+ years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis.
• Proficient in Portuguese.

Preferred:

• Experience in accounting at the affiliate level for 5-10 years.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to meet project timelines.

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of financial planning and accounting concepts, procedures, and practices.
• Strong technical skills (e. g. , Excel, Power
  Point); experience with SAP, TM1, and HFM preferred.
• Ability to apply professional concepts and company policies to solve routine problems and exercise independent
  - making.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience establishing new processes and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
