Currently, we are seeking an Operations Manager to provide leadership across our WA operations, based from our Head Office in Kewdale.

The Role

The role is critical to maintaining the exceptional relationship with our largest client and requires an inspirational leader with an ability to drive a culture of safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• To provide the leadership of the region including delivery of the scope of work along with improved safety performance and company KPI’s and Metrics
• Accountability for commercial performance of the region including forecast, budgeting and monthly P&L reporting.
• To develop the Otraco culture of a safe, innovative and performance focused business
• To ensure compliance to all legal and statutory requirements
• Lead by example in adhering and demonstrating company standards, policies, procedures and values
• In collaboration with the client, peers and the business, have a strong focus on the delivery of standardisation and innovation for the region.
• Establish a culture of collaboration, information sharing and innovation through visible leadership
• Accountability for forecast billing, payroll alignment and actual billing
• Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the team and the broader Otraco business.
• Be an active part of our SLT team (Senior Leadership Team)

About You

The successful candidate will have senior managerial experience, preferably within the mining industry, in an operational, consulting or tyre manufacturing capacity. You will ideally hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, Business Management or relevant industry experience and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to create healthy relationships with both employees and the client. Otraco’s key focuses is Safety First so sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment standards within a business setting is advantageous. Experience in business development and client engagement is also preferred.

This is an opportunity to step into a senior role with an industry leader at an exciting time for the business. The position is full time based at Otraco’s Head Office in Kewdale, role will be with ad hoc travel across the Rio Tinto WA region.
