Our HQ is in San Francisco, but this position is fully remote with a strong preference for a candidate based in Portugal, preferably in Lisbon.

Key responsibilities

1. Define
   -
   - end test strategy and processes for entire products, including suggesting appropriate tools to use.
2. Plan and execute testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables.
3. Assist project teams by tracking, documenting, and reporting on quality initiatives.
4. Investigate reports of product quality issues and work collaboratively towards resolution.
5. Be your products’ quality champion and evangelize QA best practices within your teams and our clients.
6. Engage directly with our clients to understand requirements, define what quality means, and debug complex issues.
7. Learn fast while working independently and reliably.

Qualifications

1. Experienced QA engineer generalist with a dedication to product quality, familiar and open to a wide range of technologies.
2. 3+ years of
   - on experience testing web or mobile applications, as well as APIs.
3. 2+ years of experience in setting up testing processes from scratch, building and maintaining test documentation.
4. Strong understanding of
   - server architecture.
5. Strong understanding of testing theory and SDLC.
6. Basic understanding of CI/CD.
7. Basic understanding of networking stack (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SSH, etc).
8. Upper-Intermediate level of written and spoken English.
9. Basic scripting experience (any modern programming language).
10. Pro-active personality, with a willingness to learn and contribute to test automation.
11. Familiarity with task estimation.
