QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment OR
Specialisation training in Welding Engineering from ISQ, or similar with:
- High School degree (12th grade) in Science and Technology with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, Or
- Elementary degree (9th grade) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a factory environment - metalworking or welding technology, both in fabrication and in the application of standards
- Knowledge of welding processes and equipment, of materials and their performance in welding
- Knowledge of the EN 1090 standard - assessment of compliance with the respective standard, verification of welded and bolted joints, of steel materials, corrosion protection, among others
- Qualification of welds and welding procedures
- Manufacturing control and planning skills;
- CAD software knowledge (Auto
CAD, Inventor or similar); - Excellent operational skills;
- Autonomous,
- motivated and proactive attitude; - Team player and good communication skills;
- Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making;
- Availability to
- task; - Well-organized and reliable;
- Good
- management skills; - Solid English skills (verbal and written) - mandatory;
- Availability to travel worldwide, both for extended periods of manufacturing
- up and occasional travel for partner/supplier validation. - Proven expertise in
- site assembly operations - valued - Solid knowledge of Tekla Structures – valued
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Coordination and monitoring of the welded fabrication process;
- Inspection and Quality control in welded construction;
- Analysis and development of welding procedures, witnessing welder certification tests and issuing certificates;
- Implementation and supervision of manufacturing planning;
- Material supply supervision;
- Ensure that manufacturing follows requirements of the Quality Management Plan, ITP’s procedures and checklists used to inspect the quality of the work executed;
- Perform supervision to ensure the good care of quality records such as inspection records, photo reports, test reports, certificates, etc, in compliance with standards and BERD’s requirements;
- Managing and closing
- conformities - monitor compliance with quality procedures; - Guarantee the adequate establishment of internal document control and with the client;
- Support equipment preassembly and technical assistance;
- Support logistics operations.
