The Role
Cor
Power Ocean is looking for a Marine Operations Project Engineer to take a key role in the preparation and installation of Cor
Power wave farms. This includes preparation of procedures for loadout, transport and installation of anchor, array cables and electrical collection hubs as well as the procedures for transport, connection and disconnection of Wave Energy Converters (WECs). As a Marine Operations Project Engineer in Cor
Power Ocean you are also responsible for specifying or selecting and sourcing equipment, deck spreads, tooling, rigging and sea fastening required for the offshore campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Methods and equipment for marine operations (Piling, cable install, hub, and
WEC operations) - Development and continuous improvement of procedures
- Ensure that Cor
Power engineering QHSE and risk assessment are performed in accordance with Cor
Power Ocean and local regulations policy - Chartering, rental and procurement of marine asset and equipment for marine operations
- Selection and contracting with Marine operators and equipment suppliers for farm infrastructure installations. (WEC operations is distributed on Local Heads of WEC marine operations)
- Development of improved methods and equipment to meet Installation and O&M targets in terms of safety, cycle time, performance and reduction in
- CAPEX and OPEX to deliver on Cor
Power's Product Roadmap, defined in the Installation and OPEX sections. - Develop and maintain the marine ops processes, policies and procedures in Cor
Power. Train teams and ensure operations are executed to the procedures. - Lead development of future marine operations methods and tooling
- Direct, review and update procedures to meet internal targets and external requirements from customers, investors, MWS, DNV and underwriters
Skills and requirements
You have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience developing offshore installation methods and have successfully executed installations in the field. Proven experience in method development processes and installation cycles from start to finish is a must.
You have a broad technical knowledge and genuine interest in the different aspects of marine operations, vessels, equipment, and operational methods. Human and asset safety through each stage of operation is your top priority. Knowledge of engineering, sourcing and operation of mooring systems, ROVs, and subsea tooling, cable lay spreads, cranes and winches and vessels is qualifying. Experience of certification and Marine Warranty Survey methodology and documentation is qualifying.
You have experience in creating deck layouts, rigging sketches, storyboards using 2D CAD software. If you have experience with Orcaflex and simplified sea fastening design, this is also qualifying.
You may have a B. Sc or a M. Sc. degree in marine engineering or related disciplines, but your personality, experience and interest in the field is the most important.
