Market Risk Reporting Officer
Job Description:
The Market Risk Operations team is in charge of functional and monitoring support on market risk activities of the bank. The team in Portugal is focusing in particular on the quality aspects of the data that feeds those systems: ensuring data quality issues are resolved, production of market risk loading inputs into our internal systems, putting in place meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) about data quality, reviewing and improving existing processes and KPIs, and assisting on the preparation of material for committees where those KPIs are discussed with Business and Senior management teams.
The mission of Market Risk Operations team is met by:
- Production and control of data quality results for various market risk activities
- Ensuring clients and Senior management have a clear vision of the quality of the services provided by the Market Risk Operation teams, thanks to the production of meaningful KPIs about our main services.
- Resolution of incidents related to data quality, what regularly involves investigation and coordination with other teams.
- Streamlining, running, documenting existing processes that currently lack industrialization
We are looking for one analyst to join our team and work on the production of metrics used for market risk reporting.
The role is for a position within the Operations team in Porto, Portugal.
Main Tasks:
- Work on Data quality aspects, on the daily production of several putting in place Key Performance Indicators about the quality of the data in our systems (statistics on timeliness and quality of daily risk indicators) and maintaining these KPIs.
- Investigate issues detected by those KPIs and help to resolve them.
- Build close links with risk analysts and other internal RISK Systems clients
- As part of an Agile team, proactively contribute to the team's deliveries while also keeping a strong link with the colleagues that work on the same topics.
- Provide training and guidance to new users of the system where required
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge in SQL required
- Fluency with all MS Office tools
- Knowledge in Python is appreciated
- Knowledge on main financial products such as Stocks, Bonds, Swaps, Options etc are a strong plus
- Knowledge of Agile framework is appreciated
Language Skills:
- English – Mandatory/ Expert
