Marketing Manager

Job Purpose
As Marketing Manager at UNICEF Portugal, you will lead and implement integrated marketing strategies to strengthen UNICEF’s brand, expand public engagement, and support organizational strategy and growth. This role covers digital and traditional marketing, customer intelligence, content creation, and product innovation. A strong focus will be placed on understanding audiences, segmenting them effectively, and creating highly targeted campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, reputation and support for UNICEF’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Define and implement integrated marketing strategies to promote UNICEF’s mission and objectives across digital and traditional channels.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, public engagement, and supporter journeys, while supporting organizational priorities.
Campaigns & Innovation
- Lead multichannel campaigns (digital, media, events, emergencies), ensuring they are
- driven, innovative, and impactful. - Coordinate appeals and donor journeys, ensuring tailored approaches for different audiences.
- Develop new approaches and products to broaden UNICEF’s reach and engagement.
Audience Intelligence & Insights
- Build a deep understanding of audiences and donor segments through data and market research.
- Apply insights to guide segmentation, personalization, and campaign optimization.
Content & Digital Marketing
- Oversee content creation and ensure strong, inspiring narratives across all platforms.
- Coordinate digital marketing initiatives (Google Ads, Meta Ads, You
Tube,
- commerce) and optimize performance in real time.
Analysis & Reporting
- Define KPIs, track performance, and produce clear reports with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure robust use of tools and dashboards to support
- based decisions. - Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness and innovation.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering creativity and results.
- Collaborate closely with different UNICEF departments to ensure strategic alignment and message consistency.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing.
- Solid experience (10+ years) leading marketing initiatives, with a focus on multichannel strategies and audience segmentation.
- Advanced knowledge of customer intelligence, data analysis, and consumer behavior.
- Strong experience in both digital marketing (SEO, SEM) and traditional channels (TV, radio, press, outdoor).
- Proven ability to design targeted campaigns for segmented audiences.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and team management skills
- Native proficiency in Portuguese and full professional proficiency in English are essential.
