About The Role

As a Material Flow & Packaging Engineer (M/F), you’ll join Preh Portugal (Trofa) to analyze, develop, and optimize packaging and material flow concepts for our global manufacturing plants. You’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient, cost‑effective, and sustainable logistics processes that safeguard product quality and align with Preh Group standards.

Challenges In Front Of You

• Analyze and optimize logistics projects and processes across all global manufacturing plants, focusing on packaging and material flow.
• Define packaging solutions for new components and continuously improve existing packaging when needed.
• Ensure that all packaging fully protects and maintains product quality throughout production and transport.
• Evaluate logistics impacts and cost‑efficiency of different packaging solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation and specifications for packaging standards.
• Develop and implement group‑wide standards and concepts in close collaboration with plant logistics teams.
• Monitor, optimize, and ensure the global implementation of developed measures, processes, and structures.
• Coordinate ongoing logistics projects and manage interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring To The Table

• A Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or a related technical or commercial field.
• Proven experience in automotive logistics, material flow, packaging, and lean management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office; experience with SQL and databases is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
