To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Material Planner in our plant in Ovar.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement process: Daily execution of the procurement process related to the new project introduction under your portfolio.
• Follow up and take action to ensure coverage of Raw Materials as per Plant's Production Plan: Attend production plan by bringing Raw Materials on time according to current stock policy.
• Raise and manage alerts when needed: Identify and manage risks to minimize impact on production line. Raise information to management in order to avoid line stoppages/impact at Customers.
• Release Orders to Suppliers: Sending necessary orders to Suppliers in order to have parts on time as per Production Plan.
• Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications: Make traceability for the weekly demands/coverage. Assure correct parameters in ERP system since the creation of the Part Number until serial life.
• Control inventory levels: Raise to Project Manager all costs generated due to deadstock for each project under your scope.
• Manage Logistics Claims with Supplier: Follow up GQRS treatment in order to recover potential losses due to Supplier's responsibility.
• Manage relation between Supplier and internal stakeholder: Act as the interface between Suppliers and internal stakeholders (Operations, Quality, Financial etc).
• Support in new/end of projects phases: Execute or support in the procurement activities regarding start/end of projects.

Candidate’s Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Logistics.
• Proficiency in English.
• Proficient in SAP.
• Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Occasional domestic and/or international travel.
