First Point Group are partnered with an exciting General Contractor who are building teams for a new hyperscale Data Center in Portugal.

As the MEP Lead, you will be responsible for the coordination, integration, and delivery of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within
- scale data center projects. You’ll serve as the key liaison between design teams, site teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure
- quality,
- time, and
- budget project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all MEP disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) from design to commissioning
• Oversee MEP subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with design, quality standards, and project timelines
• Interface with client teams, design consultants, and internal departments
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and system integration
• Coordinate BIM models and support clash detection and resolution processes
• Drive MEP installation planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking
• Support commissioning, testing, and handover of all MEP systems
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
• Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental (EHS) standards on site
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure MEP systems meet compliance and performance requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7+ years' experience in a similar MEP lead role, ideally on data center or
  - tech industrial projects
• Proven experience in design management, construction supervision, and MEP systems commissioning
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems integration, including critical systems such as UPS, generators, chillers, CRACs, etc.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e. G. ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA, ISO)
• Proficiency with tools such as Navisworks, BIM 360, and project management software
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work
