Drive Systems seeks a Metrology Lab Technician at our new plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform internal and manage external calibrations of production control equipment, gauges, and poka yokes.
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair quality tools and equipment.
- Recordkeeping, data compilation, and reporting.
- Operate, install, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Set up, calibrate, and document new equipment; write SOPs.
- Manage calibration plans and R&R activities.
- Verify samples, prototypes, and control materials.
- Support supplier quality with PPAP measurements.
- Conduct audits and verify critical characteristics.
- Prepare measurement and testing documentation.
- Perform ESD audits and manage control requirements.
- Support component reception and measurement services.
- Maintain standards per company policies and safety/environmental regulations.
Education & Experience
- Secondary technical education; higher education in design or metrology preferred.
- Experience with 3D measurement programming.
- Knowledge of technical drawings, ISO 17025, calibration, MSA, R&R.
- Good computer skills, conflict management,
- oriented, strong communication. - Fluent in English and Portuguese.
