We are looking for a MICE Sales Executive, based at the stunning Kimpton Atlântico Algarve. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results‑driven sales professional with proven experience in the meetings and events segment.
The MICE Sales Manager will play a key role in driving group and event revenue across Highgate’s Portugal portfolio, building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, and key partners. This role will be instrumental in positioning our properties as preferred venues for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events in both domestic and international markets.
Challenges you’ll love:
- Ideally, 3 years of experience in hotel sales with a focus on the leisure segment, candidates without prior experience will also be considered;
- Solid understanding of the Portuguese and international leisure markets;
- Strong travel trade network and relationship‑building skills;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English; other languages are a plus;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required;
- Experience with hotel systems (e. g. , Opera, Delphi, Salesforce) is preferred;
What you need to shine in this role:
- Ideally up to 1–2 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably within the leisure or MICE segment, motivated candidates without prior experience are also welcome to apply.
- Good understanding of the Portuguese and international leisure markets.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and a genuine interest in the travel trade industry.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally when required.
- Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera, Delphi, or Salesforce is a plus.
- A creative thinker with an innovative approach to sales and client engagement.
