Your Role

As a Mid Backend Engineer (m/f/d), you will develop our Emission Compensation Tracker, supporting
- focused business activities. Your work aims to create an environment where sustainable aviation fuel is accessible at favorable conditions. You will collaborate with a global team of engineers and analysts to build innovative solutions that meet stakeholder needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design and propose innovative solutions based on functional and
  - functional requirements.
• Deliver and monitor applications in production, following the “you build it, you own it” principle.
• Maintain clean code practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of setup and processes following agile principles.
• Ensure quality through automated tests and code reviews.
• Provide
  - line support during office hours.
• Maintain product documentation.
• Collaborate effectively and support team members daily.

Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in agile software development, preferably with Java, Spring Boot (or similar), Kafka, and Postgres.
• Knowledge of software craftsmanship, CI/CD, and clean code practices.
• Experience with AWS and Terraform is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, teamwork, open communication, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Commitment to personal and team development.
• Problem-solving mindset and agility.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
