Good Friday Robotics develops UAVs and autonomous mapping platforms designed for surveying confined or hazardous environments.

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Perception Engineer to join our Software Mapping team. This role is
- driven and focused on advancing SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) methods for both ground and aerial robots. You will collaborate in efforts to design and optimize perception pipelines — from raw data acquisition to accurate map generation — and contribute to building reliable,

What You'll Do

• Working on a subterranean GPS-denied problem space to minimize drift for
  - grade surveys
• Research and evaluate
  -
  -
  - art SLAM and perception methods.
• Adapt and integrate these approaches into robust,
  - grade pipelines.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate map accuracy and system performance.
• Perform data acquisition from our custom perception devices to test and refine mapping workflows.
• Collaborate closely with embedded hardware and software engineers to ensure efficient
  - board processing and system reliability.

What We're Looking For

• B. Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in robotics algorithm development, with a strong background in computer vision and SLAM.
• Proven experience working with point clouds and 3D perception data.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Advanced programming skills in C++ and Python, with
  - on experience using ROS, Li
  DAR-Visual SLAM, and perception pipelines.
• Experience collaborating with other engineers.
• Ability to work proactively and independently in a
  - paced R&D environment.
• Embedded systems knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English (minimum B2 level).
