Position: System and Network Administrator

Location: Lisbon (Hybrid)

Type: Fulltime, Hybrid from Lisbon (2-3 days onsite per week)

Languages: English (B2 minimum); French is a big Plus! (B2 minimum)

Candidates must possess a valid work permit for Portugal

Position Overview:

This role is critical for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our network and systems infrastructure. You will also contribute to automation initiatives and support the development of custom technical solutions for internal teams.

Requirements:

• 3 - 4 years proven
  - on experience with Cisco or similar enterprise networking hardware.
• Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies (basic to intermediate level).
• Scripting skills (e. g. , Bash, Power
  Shell, Python) for automation and configuration tasks.
• Excellent
  - solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.
• Solid communication skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
• English (B2 minimum); French is a big Plus! (B2 minimum)
• May include participation in
  - call rotation for critical incidents
• Availability for a hybrid working model, based in Lisbon
• Candidates must possess a valid work permit for Portugal

Nice to Have:

• Experience with monitoring tools and system performance analysis.
• Relevant industry certifications such as:

Cisco CCNA

Comp
TIA Network+

• Other equivalent certifications in systems/network administration.

Key Responsabilities:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (switches, routers, access points, etc. ) using Cisco or similar equipment.
• Administer and support network services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain and support system infrastructure as needed (e. g. , servers, storage, user access).
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operations.
• Assist in designing and implementing secure and scalable network solutions.
• Respond to and resolve network and system incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to support IT projects and operational improvements.
