About The Job

The Middle Office Corporate Actions Officer's main mission is to notify and coordinate any impact of events during the overall lifecycle for the EQD and Fixed Income industries, providing its services for any impacted trade involving Trading or Clients.

Your Main Activities Are

• Scrub and
  - up of Corporate Actions in Front Office (FO) or Middle Office (MO) operating systems
• Monitor the Corporate Actions in all reliefs and identify eligible global positions
• Follow-up events’ announcements, forecast and deadlines leading to an efficient management regarding scrubbing, notifications and bookings in general books and FO and MO recording systems, whilst having direct interaction with all the FO desks
• Follow-up with FO and TS the process for voluntary events, compiling elections to be sent to support teams for instruction to agents and custodians
• Follow-up of the expected proceeds and results at payment date, and
  - up controls in regards to theoretical bookings and forecast assumptions that may leave with breaks on internal reconciliations
• Act as a central point of contact for Corporate Actions operations desk, subject matters within BNP Paribas' functions and as an expert on Corporate Actions for client and business services
• Manage any Corporate Actions type on the overall scope of the team, whilst having expertise on specific market rules
• Provide regular reports to other teams and hierarchy
• Participate actively to the continuous improvement of process and systems

Profile And Skills To Success

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
• Up to 2 years of experience in Banking and Financial Operations
• Fluency in English, both oral and written
• Comfort with Microsoft Office tools, namely Excel
• Great team spirit with a committed and proactive approach
• Great organizational skills with
  - oriented approach and a results driven mindset
• Great attentiveness to detail and sense of responsiveness and quality of service
