Middle Office Senior Expert
Position Summary
In this role, you will ensure the integrity and quality of accounting data while managing key accounting calculations, closing activities, regulatory reporting, and accounting systems administration for the entities or business units under your scope. You will also act as an expert key user in accounting transformation initiatives—such as system rollouts, process harmonization, and new business onboarding—helping shape and improve the organization’s financial landscape.
What You Will Do
Accounting Calculations
- Perform calculations related to bad debts
- Manage provisions and accruals
- Execute fixed asset–related calculations
Closing Review
- Safeguard data quality, accuracy, and timeliness of postings in accounting systems
- Evaluate the performance of AP/AR and other departments, providing feedback to enhance transactional accounting activities
- Conduct sanity checks on suspense accounts, premiums, service revenue, claims, commissions, payroll, investments, FX, and tax
- Ensure closing quality assurance and compliance with standard booking schemes and global accounting policies
- Review balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor and report closing progress
- Supervise or perform ECCS uploads
- Lead post‑mortem reviews to identify issues, track resolutions, and implement process improvements
Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare statutory reports
- Deliver regulatory reports
- Produce specific regulatory or business‑required reporting
Accounting Systems Administration
- Manage access rights, including user and account setup
- Configure and administer GRP (tables, interfaces, and settings)
- Oversee incident management related to accounting systems
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams involved in closing, reporting, or transformation initiatives
- Contribute as an expert key user in accounting transformation projects, including system rollout, process harmonization, and new business onboarding
- Support additional month‑end closing tasks or ad‑hoc accounting matters

- Strong accounting and tax knowledge
- Experience with SAP
- Familiarity with Solvency II regulation
