Mobile App Engineer

Simdle Mobility, a product by Losch Digital Lab SARL, is a state‑of‑the‑art on‑demand mobility software for cities and operators. Simdle provides technology that enables pooled and sustainable transport, dispatching hundreds of vehicles across Europe since 2017.

Our mission is to make sure that no vehicle runs emptier than it should. The platform comprises a powerful real‑time booking and dispatching algorithm, a versatile passenger app (Simdle Rider), an intuitive driver app (Simdle Driver), an admin backend (Simdle Operator), and a web‑booking frontend.

Role

The role is a full‑time Mobile App Developer, responsible for the Simdle Rider and Driver apps, integrating them with our Java backend and ensuring high quality and performance.

  Script) and Simdle Driver App (Android).
• Implement scalable processes and best practices for deployment to the i
  OS App Store and Android Play Store, including white‑labelled apps.
• Connect the Apps seamlessly to our Java backend.
• Configure the Apps by integrating payment service providers, ticketing solutions, and transport feeds.
• Contribute to and improve our testing and CI/CD processes with QA Engineers.
• Continuously improve UX/UI in close collaboration with the Product Team and translate Figma prototypes into working Apps.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on mobile app development using React Native with Type
  Script, and native Android (Kotlin/Java) and i
  OS (Swift/Objective‑C).
• Experience working for a Saa
  S company or technology start‑up in a high‑paced release environment with systematic testing.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, REST APIs, Java, and SQL.
• Experience with Compose Multiplatform (mobile app) is a nice to have.
• Experience in Java backend development is a plus.
• Experience integrating payment service providers is a plus.
• Focus on clean code and automated testing.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
