Mobile Tech Lead Android Braga

- quality Android applications that make an impact.

What will be your mission at Smart?

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Android developers
• Define and implement the technical vision and architecture for Android apps
• Lead the development of complex features and ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Implement robust security architecture principles across mobile projects
• Drive automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, E2E, and a11y testing (e. g. , Playwright)
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional mobile experiences
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
• Provide accurate estimations even in complex or ambiguous situations
• Leverage data and performance metrics to guide decisions and improve user experience
• Stay current with mobile trends and technologies and apply them to our projects
• Promote continuous improvement in development practices and processes

What will you need to have?

• Solid experience building and maintaining Android applications
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns and best practices
• Solid understanding of security in mobile environments
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e. g. , Playwright)
• Strong software engineering principles and openness to new ideas
• Proven ability to lead development on large, scalable applications
• Experience with software estimation in uncertain or complex contexts
• Strong data-driven mindset for evaluating performance and usage
• Experience with app releases to Google Play
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities within development teams
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Dev
  Ops practices and CI/CD tools
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience building and maintaining SDKs

Where can you be SMART?

You can work from Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra, in a remote or
