Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for diverse IT environments.
• Configure monitoring rules, alerting, service discovery, and dashboards using Checkmk.
• Manage distributed monitoring setups, including hybrid cloud, VPN, and
  - prem infrastructures.
• Develop and customize checks, rules, and notifications within Checkmk.
• Integrate Checkmk with external systems like ticketing, messaging, and incident management tools.
• Troubleshoot systems to improve visibility across platforms.
• Document strategies and support internal and client teams.

Required skills

• Experience with Checkmk (preferably Enterprise Edition) in production.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and configuration.
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash/Shell.
• Knowledge of servers, networks, databases, and applications.
• Familiarity with SNMP,
  - based monitoring, and piggybacking.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with tools like MS Teams, Jira, Service
  Now.
• Knowledge of other monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of ITIL processes.
• Experience with plugin development in Checkmk.
• Relevant certifications.
