Network Automation Engineer (with Python) - Hybrid (Lisbon)

The role focuses on developing and maintaining the automation logic within the FRINX network automation platform, which interfaces with the Codaxy Cx
O orchestrator and interacts directly with the IP/MPLS infrastructure.

The initial scope involves automating the provisioning of L3VPN services using g
NMI and NETCONF.

Hard skills

• Programming: Proficiency in Python, including development of modular, reusable code.
• API Development: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Version Control: Experience using Git/Git
  Hub for collaborative development.
• Agile Practices: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and issue tracking in Jira.
• Data Modelling: Knowledge of structured data models (YAML, JSON, YANG).
• Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and technical English.

Daily Tasks:

• Develop and maintain automation logic within the FRINX platform.
• Translate orchestration instructions from Codaxy Cx
  O into
  - level configuration workflows.
• Implement idempotent routines for L3VPN service provisioning and teardown.
• Integrate with IP/MPLS network devices via g
  NMI and NETCONF protocols.
• Develop REST APIs exposed by FRINX to interact with higher orchestration layers.
• Build and execute automated tests to validate service state and configuration accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the automation and network configuration flows.
• Collaborate with network engineers and software developers in an Agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with network automation frameworks and tools (e. G. FRINX, NSO, Ansible).
• Knowledge of routing and switching concepts, MPLS, and L3VPN architectures.
• Familiarity with telecom network management, NFV, or SDN environments.
• Understanding of API authentication methods (OAuth2,
  - based security).
• Basic experience with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to read or edit YANG models for network configuration schemas.
