We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator Consultant to work in Portugal who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

What is this challenge about

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents within network infrastructures, ensuring stability and performance;
• Detect and respond promptly to network failures, performance degradation, and security breaches;
• Implement and maintain robust network security measures, conducting regular audits and assessments;
• Manage and update network configurations (IP addresses, routing, firewall rules, etc. );
• Optimize network performance by analyzing traffic and metrics;
• Apply firmware and software updates to improve stability and security;
• Collaborate closely with sysadmins, cybersecurity teams, and developers;
• Provide
  - call support for emergency response situations;
• Leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline operations;
• Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures;
• Lead technical teams and mentor junior colleagues;
• Interact with clients to understand needs and propose tailored solutions.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field;
• Over 8 years of professional experience in network administration;
• Strong expertise in protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF), hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and security;
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, EDR solutions, and monitoring tools;
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python is a plus);
• Relevant certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper, Comp
  TIA, Checkpoint, Fortinet, etc. ) preferred;
• Strong
  - solving skills and methodical troubleshooting;
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with both technical and
  - technical stakeholders;
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations;
• Leadership mindset and mentoring abilities;
• Consulting expertise and client interaction experience.
• Fluent level of English (mandatory);
• Fluent level of Portuguese (mandatory);
• Work model hybrid 3x per week in Lisbon.
