- winning editorial team focused on breaking news, features and analysis in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3 industries.

Responsibilities

• Generate and pitch original story ideas across a variety of areas of the crypto economy, such as decentralized finance, regulation, NFTs, and venture capital.
• Monitor markets,
  - chain data, social media, and other sources to identify and report on breaking news in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct interviews with key industry players, including founders, developers, investors and regulators, to gather information and build trusted sources.
• Write clean, compelling, and
  - researched news articles, features, and analysis pieces that adhere to Coin
  Desk editorial standards and style guide.
• Work closely with editors and other reporters to ensure comprehensive coverage and collaborate on major stories.
• Maintain a strong understanding of macroeconomic trends and their potential impact on the crypto market.
• Contribute to multimedia content, such as podcasts, video segments, and live events, as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a reporter or journalist, preferably with a focus on finance, technology, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and the broader digital asset landscape.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, accessible language for a broad audience.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• A track record of breaking exclusive news and developing a strong network of sources.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a
  - paced news environment.
• Familiarity with online content management systems and social media platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools for research, data analysis, and transcription, and an understanding of ethical considerations in journalism.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or a related field is a plus.

Note: This position will be based in the UK/EURO region and will be required to work onsite 2-3 days per week at local offices in London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt. Required days onsite are at the discretion of the hiring manager and may be adjusted based on business needs.
