CALL FOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
Scientific area(s):
Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and related fields
Skills/ Qualifications
Have experience in the analysis and characterization of energetic materials, specifically
- based propellants. Hold a master’s degree in one of the
- mentioned fields or in a related area. Be enrolled in a doctoral program in the field of energy and sustainability.
Work plan/ Objectives
The scholarship to be awarded aims at consolidating the scientific training of the fellow through the development of research work. Specifically, through his participation in Activity 1 – Preliminary Studies and, within this, in the tasks 1. 3 – Survey of requirements and specifications of the propellant system and 1. 4 – Survey of requirements and specifications of the functionalized cellulose propellant system. In addition, the fellow will be involved in Activity 2 – Development and optimization of the functionalized cellulose propellant system, namely in the tasks: 2. 3 – Design, development and optimization of the functionalized cellulose propellant system for 12. 7 mm caliber; 2. 4 – Design, development and optimization of the functionalized cellulose propellant system for 155 mm caliber; 2. 5 – Life cycle analysis and life cycle cost assessment.
Regime:
The attribution of the fellowship does not generate or entitle a relation of a
- labor nature, and the fellowship is undertaken in an exclusive dedication regime. The fellowship holder is awarded the Fellowship Statute of ADAI, in its current wording, according to the Research Fellowship Holder Statute, and according to the Regulation for Research Fellowships of the Fundação para a Ciência e e a Tecnologia, I. P. , both in their current wording.
