What do we do?

Enigmatic Smile is a fintech
- up with Fidel API operating as a standalone unit within the Engineering Team. Our distributed team is based in Lisboa, Portugal, serving customers worldwide with diverse requirements. We aim to enable consumers, retailers, rewards publishers, and banks globally to enhance customer experience.

Our way of working

We are a distributed team, primarily in Portugal and the UK, with members across most continents. Your daily team will be in a European timezone (GMT +/- 2h). Our working language is English. This role is mainly remote, with occasional travel or office visits.

Requirements

Objectives of this role

• Develop

• Conduct code reviews, analyze peer submissions, identify issues, and suggest improvements
• Maintain code and application quality, including writing automated tests
• Assist in project planning, solution design, and

• Ensure security compliance with PCI DSS and ISO27001 standards
• Own your systems for
  - term maintainability, scalability, and reliability

• Experience designing and developing scalable,
  - performance software solutions
• Proficiency with Git and Git
  Hub workflows
• Knowledge of common development languages and tools
• Experience with databases, both No
  SQL/Document and SQL
• Problem-solving mindset
• Team-oriented attitude

• Experience with AWS services like Lambda, Cloud
  Formation, Dynamo
  DB, API Gateway, and Step Functions
• Familiarity with Node
  JS, Java
  Script, and Type
  Script
