As we continue to expand our services across Portugal, we are seeking an experienced nurse based in Lisbon to join our leadership team in a dual role combining clinical care with operational management.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly competent, proactive Nursing Operations Coordinator to oversee our nursing operations while maintaining an active clinical role. This dual clinical and managerial contract position combines
- on patient care with team management, dispatch coordination, and supply management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who thrives in a
- paced, growing healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about both direct patient care and team leadership. You should be comfortable switching between administering IV therapy to clients and coordinating schedules for your nursing team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage through time pressure are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Coordination & Management Responsibilities:

• Dispatch Management: Coordinate daily scheduling and assignment of nurses to client appointments across our service areas
• Supply Management: Oversee inventory control, manage stock levels, and ensure all nurses have necessary equipment and medications
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support our nursing team, ensuring consistent quality of care and adherence to protocols
• Quality Assurance: Monitor clinical standards, conduct performance reviews, and implement improvement initiatives
• Administrative Duties: Maintain nursing schedules, handle team communications, assist with onboarding new nurses
• Problem Resolution: Address scheduling conflicts, supply shortages, or clinical concerns as they arise
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all nursing practices meet regulatory requirements and company standards

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Administer intravenous therapies and medications with precision and care, as prescribed, in various settings (client's home, office, hotel)
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs
• Educate patients on IV therapy options and procedures
• Serve as clinical mentor and resource for other nursing team members

Qualifications

• Registered with Ordem dos Enfermeiros. Active and unrestricted nursing license in Portugal, in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Minimum of 3 years of IV infusion experience, preferably in home healthcare or ambulatory settings
• Management experience: Previous experience coordinating teams, managing schedules, or overseeing healthcare operations
• Strong organizational skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and coordinate complex schedules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese; proficiency in other languages is a plus
• Proficiency in IV therapy techniques, protocols, and equipment
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing care principles and practices
• Strong medical documentation and administrative skills
• Leadership qualities: Ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a team of healthcare professionals
• Technology proficient: Comfortable with scheduling software, inventory management systems, and digital communication tools
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical and operational decisions
• Availability for extended hours: Willing to be
