A global industrial company is expanding its Global Business Services (GBS) operations and establishing a regional GBS satellite in Portugal to support Europe operations. This centre plays a strategic role within a

Your new Role:

As an O2C Senior Accountant , you will carry out Sales and Billing activities, including working with internal and external customers in the billing process to guarantee accuracy, maximise the collection of cash and reduce overdue debt.

Your responsibilities will include:

In design and transition phase: support and document O2C processes as per defined methodology.

Undertake order management (Process sales order, Chase project managers and administrators to update project).

Create and distribute invoices.

Reporting: e. g. outstanding & overdue reports (Services).

Manage dunning and cash collection tasks including dispute.

Supporting employee onboarding and training.

Identifying and implementing tactical performance improvements.

Being a subject matter expert including participating in project work as required.

Complete sales ledger responsibility, including processing sales order, cash collection & sales ledger integrity.

Achieve agreed collection targets.

Ensure correct procedures and processes are in place as per credit policy, and chase payments from customers on a regular basis.

Ensure that all business queries are resolved within agreed timeframes.

Ensure all client queries are resolved within agreed timeframes.

Take ownership of targets and objectives.

What you will need to be successful:

Accounting qualification would be a plus.

2-5 years’ of Sales Administration or O2C experience. Experience of working in a finance environment; numerate with the ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex accounts and financial reports.

Comprehensive knowledge of Order to Cash Process and procedure is essential, along with the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Strong command of verbal and written Spanish and English.

French language is a plus.

Excellent IT skills including Excel.

Good systems knowledge, preferably experience working with SAP.

Proven track record of achieving KPI’s.

Deliver to strict guidelines and to tight deadlines.

Must be able to demonstrate a high standard of communications skills, with the ability to identify the optimum communication channel as well as excellent customer service skills.

Pro-active, responsive and action orientated.
