- As Oil Production system Engineer, you ensure the optimal performance, safety, and sustainability of the oil system within a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit. This includes leading efforts to maintain system health, achieve
- driven outcomes, and manage budgets in alignment with the asset leadership team. The role involves close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to align lifecycle objectives and drive continuous system improvements. Additionally, the role serves as the focal point for coordination with external stakeholders, including technology providers, supply chain partners, and fleet management, to enhance system design, sustainability, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- You are the accountable with the Oil System Lead for delivering system health, value, and budget performance to the asset leadership team.
- You engage with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to align asset lifecycle objectives and ensure continuous system improvement.
- You are the focal point for external stakeholders, including technology, supply chain, maintenance, and fleet management.
- You drive continuous improvement in system design for enhanced safety, sustainability, and profitability;
- You develop andrefine system KPIs, monitor surveillance activities, and prioritize across FPSO systems;
- You participatein rapid responses to offshore incidents and support maintenance planning to optimize system uptime;
- You contribute to the Smart Operation Production Hub Roadmap, boosting efficiency through monitoring and predictive technologies.
- You create dashboards and KPIs to monitor system performance, address weaknesses, and track key initiatives.
- You validate abnormal behaviors, define corrective actions, and ensure implementation of remedial actions;
- You provide analysis and recommendations to improve system safety, sustainability, and reliability, including bad actor elimination.
- You Manage spare part inventory, align maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, and review shutdown scopes;
- You monitor CO2emissions, identify abnormalities, and recommend reduction strategies.
- You Lead pilot projects to implement systems engineering across shore bases, offshore, and design processes.
- You conduct system audits, mobilize offshore as necessary, and participate in HAZOP and HAZID reviews.
Education
- Process Engineer or other related area
Experience
- Minimum 8 years in Oil and Gas Industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Operation and in relation with the system he will lead.
- Field Experience is required.
- FPSO experience is required.
- Familiarized with working procedure, regulatory compliance, and offshore constraints.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Able to travel abroad and offshore on short or long duration basis as required.
- Able to bring a global understanding of a system.
- Be an expert in the system she/he will lead.
- Have experience with engineering, commissioning, and operation activities.
