Online English Teacher - Remote Position Brazil Lisboa

Overview

Position Details

• Start Date: Immediate, with a recruitment end date of 30 September 2025


• Rate: $6 USD per hour


• Contract Type: Independent Service Provider with The Really Great Teacher Company

Responsibilities

• Teach English online to learners, including young learners and teens


• Work
  - time with flexible hours, including peak hours (8 AM - 9 PM EST)


• Work from home with no commute


• Engage in professional growth through available training and development resources

Requirements

• Fluent English (C1/C2 level) and Portuguese speaker


• 3+ years of online or
  - class English teaching experience


• Accredited 120-hour+ TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification OR


• Bachelor's Degree in English, Translation, English Literature, or any related field


• Familiarity with CEFR and ESL assessments


• Highly computer literate with excellent communication skills


• Clean criminal record

Technical Requirements

• PC: Intel Core i5 CPU @2. 40GHz (4 CPUs) or better, 8GB RAM or greater


• Internet: Stable fiber connection (20 Mbps upload/download) via LAN cable


• Backup Power: UPS with 4-5 hours of battery life (recommended for areas with frequent power interruptions)


• Equipment: Noise-cancelling headset, HD webcam (720p), and a quiet,
  - lit teaching space
