Online Surveyor Trainee

Are you interested in launching your career in offshore online surveying?

As an Online Surveyor Trainee with Saipem, you will:

1. Support the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.
2. Assist with calibration of Survey and Positioning systems, including alongside calibrations.
3. Perform QC dimensional control surveys.
4. Conduct observations of seawater parameters.
5. Understand ROV offsets.
6. Support remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicle operations.
7. Perform survey and positioning operations associated with the installation of subsea pipelines, umbilicals, structures, platforms, and jackets.
8. Assist with the preparation of survey reports.
9. Plan survey data acquisition to ensure compliance with client specifications and project procedures.
10. Maintain, store, and back up clear and accurate online survey logs.
11. Act as Report Coordinator if required, producing field reports and memos.
12. Communicate effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew.
13. Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks during daily activities.
14. Conduct all activities following Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
15. Adhere to Company safety, health, and environmental procedures and policies.

Essential Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geomatics, Hydrographic Surveying, or a related subject (or an appropriate military qualification).
2. 0-1 year of relevant experience in
   - related disciplines.
3. Understanding of offshore survey principles and techniques.
4. Basic knowledge of
   - standard surveying equipment and software.
5. Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with high accuracy and precision.
6. Ability to work independently and within an international team.
7. Fluent in English.
8. This is an offshore role, working on board company and
   - party vessels on a rotation basis (35/35), supporting projects worldwide, with extensive travel required.
