Operational Excellence Director – Greenvolt Next Holding
Greenvolt Next Holding is looking for an Operational Excellence Director. As a senior executive, this person will be responsible for leading cross‑functional project development and operational initiatives with a strong focus on performance, profitability, and value creation. The role will be based in Lisbon and will require travelling 50% of the time across all business units.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operational team to ensure performance excellence across all business units.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation and facilitate cross‑BU collaboration through effective resource sharing and workload balancing.
- Review and validate client solutions, including risk analysis and profitability assessments.
- Lead the implementation of GVN standardized tools, methodologies, and operational processes.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to align with organizational objectives and continuous improvement.
- Drive the development and deployment of industry best practices, field application strategies, and competitive solution frameworks.
- Assess and forecast manpower requirements, supporting recruitment, staffing, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional leadership to ensure integrated execution of project development, solution design, and operational delivery.
- Support market planning and strategic sales initiatives, contributing to long‑term business growth and market positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum of 20 years’ experience in engineering and operations, including significant leadership of technical teams and multi‑project management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross‑functional teams, developing people, and managing complex engineering or technical operations.
- Deep understanding of sales engineering processes, competitive market analysis, and solution development.
- Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams with vision, align operational goals with business strategy, and drive results across complex, multi‑unit environments.
- Operational Excellence: Strong command of performance management, process improvement, and standardization methodologies to optimize efficiency and execution.
- Project & Portfolio Management: Skilled in managing multiple concurrent projects, assessing risk, ensuring resource alignment, and driving profitable outcomes.
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of project costing, profitability analysis, budgeting, and value quantification to support sound business decisions.
- Cross‑Functional Integration: Adept at bridging the gap between project development, solution design, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.
- Change Management: Skilled in leading transformation initiatives, implementing new tools/processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic, fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities and international or multi‑site team structures.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required (Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, or Italian are highly desirable).
