Become our new Operational Permanent Controller based in Porto.

As part of our dynamic Permanent Control team, you will be responsible for supporting countries’ local OPC teams in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the permanent control framework to ensure reliable accounting and financial information and to mitigate operational risks, according to BNPP Group Finance and Cardif expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support local OPCs on risk identification and assessment.
• Control execution and monitoring of countries’ control results and audit trails.
• Give support and monitor incidents and event management.
• Ensure that recommendations from internal and external auditors are implemented by monitoring related action plans at the local level.
• Create awareness about procedures updates and give training to local OPC teams.
• Be involved in governance (Internal Control Committees) and reporting processes by overseeing certification and anticipation processes during financial closing cycles.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, risk, internal control, audit or compliance, preferably in the insurance sector.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks and operational risk management.
• Audit, operational risk and compliance knowledge.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese mandatory (C1 minimum).
• Fluency in French would be very advantageous.
