Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) – emagine
Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid work - 2x week)Job Type: B2B Contract

Responsibilities- Perform advanced performance tuning and optimization across Oracle, Postgre
SQL, MSSQL, and Sybase environments. - Deliver
- level technical support to internal DBA teams and external client deployments. - Ensure high availability, security, and resilience of all production and nonproduction database systems. - Continuously monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system and
- level performance bottlenecks. - Collaborate with developers, Dev
Ops, and infrastructure teams to design scalable, efficient database architectures. - Participate in R&D initiatives by evaluating new database features and technologies for integration into the CV platform. - Lead database migrations, version upgrades, and patch management processes. - Establish and maintain robust documentation and best practice guidelines for database operations. Qualifications- 5+ years of experience as a professional DBA, with
- level Oracle database administration. - Hands-on experience with Postgre
SQL, MSSQL, Sybase, and optionally Maria
DB/My
SQL. - Deep knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and execution plan analysis. - Proven ability to conduct performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis in production environments. - Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting. - Experience managing and supporting databases on cloud platforms, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
