Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to provide Level 3 support for all databases and servers used by the Custody department. This role ensures best practices from development through production, while driving continuous improvement and collaborating with internal and
- party developers.


Key Responsibilities

Projects

  • Gather and document technical requirements for system enhancements.
  • Manage change requests and lead technical testing for smooth deployments.
  • Own and deliver assigned initiatives, ensuring deadlines and quality standards.
  • Identify system gaps and propose actionable improvements.
  • Communicate project standards and provide regular stakeholder updates.


Database Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve live system issues (performance bottlenecks, CPU/memory utilisation, query tuning).
  • Perform
    - cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  • Monitor database infrastructure (availability, disk space, logs, backups).
  • Manage application databases: installation, patching, ETL processes, custom reporting.
  • Execute routine DBA tasks: backup/recovery, user access, security, health checks, proactive tuning.
  • Support global teams across multiple regions (US, India, Portugal).


Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years DBA experience , with strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c (required).
  • Knowledge of Postgre
    SQL and MS SQL is a plus.
  • Proven skills in performance optimisation (index tuning, query optimisation).
  • Experience in database lifecycle management (data cleanup, automation).
  • Strong analytical and
    - solving abilities, with clear documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure planning and implementation.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
