Job Brief: Outsystems Developer

Is it Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: It is a hybrid working environment, but the successful candidate will be happy to be onsite for 2 days per week.

Overview

We are looking for an Outsystems Developer with minimum 4 years of experience on Out
Systems application development and deep knowledge of the Out
Systems framework components, tools, best practices, and Domain Driven Architectural standards.

The Out
Systems Developer, based in Lisbon, will be responsible for designing and implementing low code business applications, playing a key role in our journey to develop our Out
Systems application portfolio supporting the different Hiscox Europe geographies.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality technical designs and implement quality business applications following Out
Systems best practices and Hiscox’s architectural standards.

Work in a dynamic,
- paced, Agile team environment integrated in a Digital Value Stream.

Development of unit and and integration tests, TDD knowledge is a plus.

Create and update technical documentation for developed applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Out
Systems applications development.

Support the Digital Value Stream Product Owner in the construction and refinement of the backlog performing technical analysis and
- level effort estimations.

Contribution with insights and technical improvements.

Collaborate with engineers, testers, and other team members to ensure quality and timely delivery

Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience on Out
Systems application development and deep knowledge of the Out
Systems framework components, tools, best practices, and Domain Driven Architectural standards.

Ability to translate functional requirements to technical design and development tasks.

Experience in integrating Out
Systems with other systems (REST and SOAP APIs).

Knowledge of SQL server.

Work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban

Previous experience in digital channels application domain (B2C and B2B) delivering Traditional and Reactive Web applications is a plus.

Out
Systems certification is a plus.

Experience working with insurance companies is a plus.

Good written and verbal English communication skills, additional language (French, German, Spanish) is a plus.

Location and Duration

This is a contract position based in Lisbon, Portugal.

The duration of the statement of work is 12 months, with a possibility of extension, depending on the project needs and performance.
