Job Purpose:
The Patient Pathway Manager identifies opportunities to optimize multiple myeloma patient pathways across multiple channels and implements them together with the
- functional team.
Ensure that activities comply with the GSK Code of Conduct and standards as well as with Portuguese legislation.

Tasks:
- Identification and development of ideas for optimal patient pathways for smooth care of multiple myeloma patients, together with the key account managers and product manager
- Mapping of networks, customers and support of ophthalmologists in private practice around oncological accounts (development of new customer groups)
- Development and implementation of specific formats (e. g. digital) for training activities in cooperation with and for ophthalmologists
- Lives open, honest, trusting transparent communication for a positive, motivating, responsible work culture in the entire
- functional team - Promotes and establishes contacts with External Experts and Health Institutions to build a fast way for the patient access to the medicine in multiple myeloma
- Coordinates and collaborates with other departments/areas on various activities related to product access and management
- Collaborates with the Medical/Regulatory and Commercial areas.
Management and Strategy:
- Ensures the updating of various internal processes associated with the management of the product communication plan.
- Establishes
- country contacts to better implement and understand the global strategy, ensuring the adaptation of this strategy to the market and providing feedback after its implementation. - Conducts competition analysis and customer insights.
Ethics and Compliance:
- Ensures the adoption of ethical behaviours and relevant legal compliance for the performance of their role.
Complexity:
- Development and implementation of suitable patient pathways and treatment networks across accounts and specialties in close collaboration with external key customers and stakeholders.
- Development and implementation of specific educational content and formats across the full spectrum of omnichannel opportunities.
- Understanding of the market, stakeholder groups, and levels of influence at the hospital level
- Ensuring cooperation between the marketing/medical/sales/access areas to ensure the effective implementation of the strategy
- Developing insights and understanding of the different stakeholders in multiple myeloma
- Development of strategic alternatives based on insights and information from the
- functional team
Requirements:
- University degree in management, Marketing, pharmacy or other areas of health sciences
- Fluency in English and good knowledge of informatic tools from an end user perspective.
- Good knowledge of the Portuguese health care system and specifically hospital environment and stakeholders, ideally Hematologists and Ophthalmologists
- Ability to work in a
- oriented manner (planning, implementation, monitoring, coordination across departmental boundaries) - Excellent results orientation,
- solving skills, autonomy, proactivity, flexibility and external focus to build a new area of business - Strong
- functional and teamwork skills with the ability to give and receive feedback - Regular willingness to travel across Portugal and overnight stays as part of the role, that requires national accountability
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer orientation and external focus
- Solid knowledge in the hospital area, ability to interpret changes in the sector and their strategic implications with impact on the business.
- Knowledge of the health policy environment in oncology
- Knowledge of economic conditions in clinics and practices including supply chains and
- making processes (e. g. drug listing, contracting) - Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, establishing connections between them and developing partnerships.
Preferable requirements:
- 3 years of experience at customer facing roles preferably at Oncology/ Hematology
- Experience in the field of oncology /Haematology or comparable specialty products
- Ideally, experience in the field of ophthalmology
- Profound knowledge of the healthcare system (e. g. , billing modalities hospitals, process flows in hospitals, patient pathways, and care models)
