Job description:

Crossttaff is currently seeking a
- oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join the team of our client, a leading company in the aviation industry. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and international environment, contributing to accurate and timely payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll in collaboration with the company's payroll provider
• Recording and maintaining all relevant data for new and existing employees, ensuring timely payroll entries and updates
• Managing
  - related reports and resolving payroll queries, including calculating and processing manual payments where necessary
• Continuously updating and auditing employee data across internal HR systems (e. G. , HRIS, SAP, Jira)
• Supporting initiatives to automate and integrate data between multiple systems to improve efficiency
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements, aiming to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks
• Responding promptly and professionally to
  - related queries from employees, managers, and relevant authorities
• Monitoring regulatory changes in labor laws and internal policies, and ensuring timely communication to stakeholders
• Preparing
  - related documentation such as contracts, amendments, and certificates of employment
• Contributing to the review and enhancement of
  - related processes, policies, templates, and guidelines
• Supporting daily administrative routines, including data processing, issue resolution, and
  - hoc payroll tasks

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of practical experience with Portuguese payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll best practices and dedication to service excellence
• Comprehensive understanding of local payroll regulations and compliance
• Fluency in spoken and written Portuguese and English
• Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
• Experience with SAP payroll systems is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and ability to quickly learn internal systems
