We are seeking an experienced and strategic Pensions & Benefits Manager to join our global Pensions & Benefits Co
E team reporting to the Global Head of Pensions & Benefits.
This position plays a pivotal role in various key areas:
- Governing, controlling, managing, and shaping and our pensions programs within the Europe region: The Pensions & Benefits Manager oversees, governs and actively manages our pension programs from a strategic and conceptual perspective with a regional focus on Europe. The role focuses on the design, implementation, and conceptual pensions program offering in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, and in line with our pension’s governance model and strategy.
- Overseeing, governing, controlling our global Insured Employee Benefits Programs worldwide: In addition to regional responsibilities, the role will take global ownership of our Insured Employee Benefits governance, including finance strategy, risk management and cost control
- Leading, managing and/or contributing to local/regional/global pensions & benefits projects: The role leads, manages and/or contributes to various local, regional but also global pensions & benefits projects supporting our ambition of continuous enhancements.
Regional Responsibilities – Europe Pensions
- Act as the subject matter expert for pension plans, advises our Compensation & Benefits Hub Leads but also other HR, Finance, and Business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic development and advise on enhanced operational execution of our pension programs.
- Monitors & analyses the respective countries’ pension programs with reference to changes in legislation to ensure legal compliance of our pension schemes, operations and (regulatory) processes, risk assessment, cost control and vendor service quality as well as market competitiveness, which includes:
- Develop, recommend modifications to existing pension plan designs and new concepts and prepare business cases supporting argumentation for plan implementation, design improvement, changes and similar.
- Collaborate with
- functional teams, including legal, finance, compliance, and external consultants. - Make recommendation on vendor selection where appropriate, lead and manage pension vendor and provider relationships, including contract negotiations, renewals, and performance management.
- Draft pension plan rules (policies), member booklets and other associated documents, as well as employee communication strategy and concept including prepare communication materials.
- Conceptually support, align with, provide guidance and advice to other HR functions to support a seamless operational delivery of our pension programs.
- Ensure data comprehensiveness and accuracy of all existing pension and other similar
- term commitment plans in Europe reported in the Global Benefits Data Repository.
Take ownership of our global Insured Employee Benefits Management and its governance, risk management, financing strategy and concept and cost control:
- Act as single point of contact for our C&B Hub Leads and broker network when strategic and conceptual insured employee benefits matters are concerned.
- Closely collaborate with global broker to ensure high quality service delivery from broker network aligning with agreed service levels and KPIs. Continuously managing vendor relationships with focus on strategic and conceptual global matters.
- Manage IEB finance and risk management strategy – with support from our global broker
- Manage our global Insured Employee Risk Pools. Regularly monitor the pools’ success, sustainability and preferred Insurance Network partnerships.
- Identify effective cost control measures and actions to address specific cost drivers and recommend on counteractions. This includes interpreting and analysing (in collaboration with global broker) claim reports.
- Shape – in alignment with our global broker – the annual renewal strategy addressing specific challenges and market developments to cater as roadmap for local brokers and our C&B Hub Lead colleagues alike.
- Develop regular insured employee benefits risk management reporting to become part of our annual pensions & benefits risk management reporting to ensure full control over cost, identify patterns and trends providing the basis for strategic and conceptual decision making.
- Regularly review and further develop our Insured Employee Benefits Regulation to ensure remaining in sync with our company’s people strategy and culture.
- Manage and/or contribute to
- out, implementation and continuous operation of regional and global projects and initiatives relating to pension and benefit programs. - In line with your areas of responsibility, collaborate with
- functional teams, including legal, finance, compliance, and external consultants. - In your field of expertise, develop and provide
- oriented trainings to support upskilling the HR and C&B organization as required. Share knowledge and expertise with internal stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in Pensions as well as in Insured Employee Benefits in an international environment – ideally within a multinational matrix organization - having a good understanding of the challenges, and impact on financials and reporting.
- Degree (minimum bachelor or similar) in Economics, Business & Administration, Law, or comparable subject.
- Proficiency in use of IT tools/applications and strong skills to work with Microsoft Office.
- Strong ability to effectively operate in a matrix organization and expertise in communicating across business units, functions and jurisdictions.
- Profound Project Management experience – leading and coordinating stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
