About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and
- focused People and Culture Advisor to join our dynamic team at a leading pharmaceutical company in Lisbon. This is a key role that supports our employees and leaders in delivering a
- performance culture aligned with our company values, compliance standards, and business goals.
You will be instrumental in supporting employee relations, talent management, and HR operations while providing
- on guidance on HR policies, processes, and employment legislation. Experience working with trade unions is essential, as is a strong knowledge of Portuguese labor law.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on a wide range of People & Culture matters including performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolution.
- Manage

- day employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies. - Act as a key liaison between the company and trade unions, participating in negotiations, consultations, and collective bargaining processes.
- Support the execution of HR policies, procedures, and programs that foster a
- performing and inclusive workplace culture. - Contribute to the implementation of
- wide initiatives related to
- being, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and talent development. - Assist in workforce planning, recruitment support, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with regional and global HR colleagues to ensure alignment with broader HR strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with GDPR and internal data management standards.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or Advisory role, preferably within a multinational or regulated environment.
- Proven experience in working with trade unions, including handling negotiations and collective agreements.
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e. g. , SAP Success
Factors, Workday, etc. ).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with European HR legislation and multicultural work environments.
- Coaching certification or training in conflict resolution is a plus.
