People Operations Specialists at Pleo help employees navigate day‑to‑day HR needs while building efficient systems. You’ll support teams, handle policy questions and manage ticket resolution, all while improving internal tools.
What People Operations Actually Does At Pleo
We are the engine room of the People function. While People Partners focus on strategy, Talent brings people in, and Payroll ensures everyone gets paid, we keep everything running smoothly: tickets, data accuracy, cross‑team coordination and employee support.
Tools that help you work smarter
- AI Ticketing system – deflects common questions, surfaces relevant docs and suggests draft responses; you review and approve.
- Hi
Bob workflows – employment changes, onboarding and time‑off processes flow through structured workflows; you monitor and intervene as needed. - Strong documentation – comprehensive handbooks and guides reduce repeat tickets and speed up your responses.
- Integrated systems – HRIS ↔ Contract Management ↔ ATS ↔ Payroll largely sync automatically; you catch gaps.
Ticket resolution & employee support
- Respond to tickets via Slack, addressing employment questions, policy clarifications and process guidance.
- Process requests: employment verification letters, contract changes, data updates, access issues.
- Resolve problems: sync failures between HRIS and Payroll, relocation complications, or policies that don’t fit a situation.
- Coordinate across teams: collaborate with People Partners, Payroll and Talent, and provide data‑quality reports.
- Provide empathetic, personalized support to employees who are stressed, confused or dealing with sensitive situations.
System‑supported operations
- Work with Hi
Bob workflows: initiate employment changes, onboard new hires and process time‑off requests. - Quality‑check automation: verify contract outputs and catch data‑sync errors.
- Maintain documentation: keep the knowledge base current so self‑serve works.
- Spot patterns: flag recurring tickets for process improvement.
Cross‑functional coordination
- Bridge gaps: provide employment data to Payroll, case context to People Partners and onboarding support to Talent.
- Keep things moving: ensure nothing falls through the cracks between teams.
- Maintain data quality: keep Hi
Bob accurate and the source of truth.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in People Operations / HR Operations or similar in a multi‑country environment.
- HRIS experience: Hi
Bob, Bamboo
HR, Workday, Personio or similar. - Ticketing/case‑management experience: prioritise, triage and close tickets efficiently.
- Multi‑country employment knowledge (Spain, Denmark, etc. ).
- Process‑mindset: use documentation and systems to improve work.
- Comfortable with tech: treat AI tools, workflows and integrations as helpers.
- Strong communication: write clear, empathetic responses and explain policies to non‑HR people.
- Calm under volume: stay composed when the queue is long.
- Systems‑aware: spot when something should work better and articulate issues.
Nice to have
- Experience with Hi
Bob specifically. - Exposure to AI ticketing tools or knowledge base platforms.
- Knowledge of Pleo’s markets: Denmark, UK, Germany, Spain, France, Sweden, Portugal, Netherlands.
- Experience in startups or scale‑ups (50‑1000 people).
