We're Hiring: Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview

Responsible for transforming the models of a Banking institution into optimised, scalable, and production‑ready inference pipelines. Acts as the bridge between exploratory modeling and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert prototypes and notebooks into production‑grade inference pipelines (batch or real‑time).
• Optimize models for low‑latency execution and efficient resource usage.
• Develop pre‑ and post‑processing logic for model input/output data.
• Ensure testability, versioning, and traceability of models in production.
• Work with MLOps teams to integrate models into CI/CD pipelines and continuous retraining processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on integration with Feature Stores and real‑time data sources.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements (logging, auditability, validation).

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models to production.
• Hands‑on experience with frameworks such as MLflow, Tensor
  Flow Serving, Torch
  Serve, ONNX Runtime, or similar.
• Proven experience in model serialization, optimisation, and deployment (e. g. , Light
  GBM, XGBoost, scikit‑learn, Py
  Torch).
• Strong ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with Data Scientists, MLOps, and Data Engineers.
• Previous experience in personalisation projects, recommendation engines, or real‑time decision systems is a plus.

Note:

Hybrid opportunity in Lisbon office, 3 days per week required.
