About The Team
The Advertising team is central to the growth of Web Summit events. We deliver innovative, creative campaigns across multiple ad platforms, educating and inspiring new and potential attendees, startups, and partners from around the world. Over the years, we've developed a
- led approach to advertising, one that has helped us grow from 400 attendees in 2010 to over 150, 000 in 2024.
What You'll Achieve At Web Summit
- You’ll be driving traffic and conversions through advertising on our paid media channels, with a strong focus on Meta, Linked
In and Google. - You’ll analyse data, produce reports and optimise campaigns accordingly.
- You’ll collaborate with the Data Science team to create and implement new and disruptive solutions to advertising.
- You’ll collaborate with the Growth and Email Marketing teams, integrating campaign strategies to deliver consistent messaging to our customers across the globe.
- You’ll also work alongside our startup and partner teams to plan and implement campaign strategies across all attendee types.
- You’ll discover the importance of A/B testing and how it influences the decisions made by the entire team.
- You’ll be listened to. No matter how crazy your ideas seem, we are willing to hear your thoughts!
- You have 5+ years of performance marketing experience
- You have a career focused on paid media management and content marketing.
- You're not just an advertiser, you're a creative individual in general.
- You’re naturally curious and want to experiment with new and creative ideas all the time.
- You’re
- driven and enjoy working with numbers and spreadsheets. - You’re inspired by technology and innovation, you can spot trends and keep

- date with the latest ideas in tech and marketing.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or relevant experience.
- You have a deep understanding of paid media platforms, including Meta, Google, and Linked
In, with relevant experience in other paid social channels. - Proven experience in lead generation, with a track record of building and optimising campaigns that drive
- quality inbound interest. - Strong background in B2B marketing, ideally in
- paced or
- growth environments - Demonstrated ability to deliver quantifiable results, using data to inform decisions and drive performance across the funnel
- Solid understanding of performance metrics beyond
- line indicators like CTR, with the ability to interpret and act on insights that reflect true marketing effectiveness - A motivated strategic thinker who appreciates the high degree of autonomy and responsibility but works really well in a team.
- A desire to be part of a fast and varied business environment where flexibility is a must and direction can change very quickly.
- A passion and curiosity for the tech world, as well as digital and social media marketing.
- Native or
- native fluency in English, both written and spoken (fluency in other languages is an advantage)
