The Board of Directors of REQUIMTE has announced an open call for Ph
D-holding researchers for a permanent work contract. This call is for one research position (Reference 2025-48) to work on the project “Phage Sensors Integration for Rapid Profiling of Nosocomial Respiratory Tract Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance Genes”, funded by FEDER and national funds. The project aims to develop a rapid,
- based,
- independent point of care device for profiling bacteria in respiratory infections.

The position is based at the University of Porto, with a monthly remuneration of 2, 351. 53 Euros, according to Portuguese law. Candidates must hold a doctorate in Biotechnology or a related field, with a proven record including at least 5 original scientific articles indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, and experience in microbiology, molecular biology techniques such as LAMP and RPA, and analytical methods for complex matrices, especially clinical samples.

The selection process will evaluate scientific merit, research experience, and relevant activities in the last five years. The process includes an interview with the top candidates.
