Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective integrity of piping systems and pressure vessels on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units.
- Execute scopes for all equipment, piping, and pressure vessels, including predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and quality assurance, overseeing subcontractors.
- Ensure legal compliance, meet national regulatory requirements, and maintain certifications based on international standards and ordinances.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor inspection plans for piping and pressure vessels, coordinating with inspectors.
- Define inspection techniques to guarantee physical integrity, implementing new technologies and methodologies.
- Analyze structural integrity through inspections and nondestructive tests, assessing fitness for service or
- based inspection results. - Participate in operational activities as required to ensure compliance with local requirements.
- Prepare, review, and approve inspection records in accordance with company procedures and standards.
- Manage inspection technical recommendations related to piping and pressure vessels.
- Support negotiations with subcontractors for piping and pressure vessel activities.
- Collect KPIs to maintain dashboards for asset integrity, inspection, and monitoring.
- Support asset integrity specifications for new units and review annual inspection campaigns.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Naval Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in piping and pressure vessel inspection, following relevant standards.
- Extensive knowledge of process piping standards (e. g. , B31. 3), piping design, and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology and piping specifications.
- Design skills in PDMS or Navisworks software.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in related fields are advantageous.
- Mandatory registration and certifications per national standards.
Additional Skills and Knowledge
- Monitoring performance and compliance, regulatory management, inspection, testing, commissioning, and learning from events.
- Knowledge of stress supports,
- based inspection, and static mechanical equipment.
