Position Overview
We are looking for a Platform Operations Manager to lead the
-
- day activities of our Platform Operations team. This role is critical to ensuring operational stability, managing the team’s workload, and driving continuous improvement across our platforms.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically fluent, and thrives in
- paced environments. They will be responsible for backlog management,
- call scheduling, and incident escalation, while also maintaining a strong focus on
- driven
- making through tools like Grafana.
This role will also involve close collaboration with engineering and product teams to stay aligned with product roadmaps and technical developments—ensuring the team is
- informed and prepared. The Platform Operations Manager will support operations across various products, including Io
T, e
SIM, and API platforms, requiring a solid understanding of how these technologies integrate into our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge to expert in our IOT and API products.
- Increase the quality of troubleshooting in issues related to IOT rules, SIM connectivity, data and voice services.
- Build and improve metrics and thresholds for product and services supported.
- Deep dive into the Product API documentation and lean the journey flows.
- Troubleshoot API failures and unexpected errors resulting from customer requests.
- Plan, direct and oversee the Platform Operations team and ensure alignment between business goals and functional objectives, managing the relationship with all relevant teams to ensure that the Customer expectations are met, along with mandatory services.
- Responsible for the Shift Roster that supports the team’s operation and to assure that all responsibilities within the shift are well distributed and achieved.
- Responsible for receiving, analysing, transforming, and sharing team metrics and KPI.
- Responsible for receiving, analysing, ensuring SLAʼs are meet and ensure that necessary resources are available to allow this to happen.
- Oversee all technical documentation produced by engineers for the tasks and processes supported by the team.
- Continuous Service Improvement - Analyse existing service and support patterns and proactively derive plans and actions for improving performance, reliability, and user experience, through the analysis of the previous KPIʼs.
- Instill a mindset of relentless will to learn and improve, contributing and challenging the organization for innovation and automation, by feeding information to other operational teams, of the required tools to enhance the BAU activities, with a focus on quality. faster mitigation, data consistency, etc. . .
- Liaise with product to prepare the operational teams for new product releases.
- Help onboard customers in support processes and tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing
- performing teams that run 24x7 service availability. - Proven experience troubleshooting APIs exposed to customers.
- Knowledge of mobile connectivity (MAP, SIP and Diameter protocols) is a big plus.
- Autonomy to create and maintain service performance observability in tools like Grafana and Superset analytics.
- Ability to communicate effectively complex technical issues into layman's terms.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a
- focused mindset. - Team player mentality to be part of a large,
